"Not bad, Gale." He returns the sword to his waist and takes a quick look around the city as it falls into ruin. "You've done well here. Find that key of your's yet?"

"The same reason they are, to kill me." He crosses his arms. "If that's the case, go ahead and try it."

"No, not yet I'm afraid. Have you forgotten what I told you about that already?" He eyes something behind Gale curiously. "Oh, that's too bad. I'd like to continue this touching little dialogue, but it looks like your playmate's early." The half-burned building behind Gale explodes outward and disappears within its own cloud of soot. Chunks of debris shower over his back and scatter over the street.

"I believe that it will become clear when I have accomplished my bindings here, and I asked for a direction to be included with the completion of my agreement... if only to assure Gale that I was sincere..." |

Wes splits off from the rest of the group in search of Gale and/or the second key. His tandem is narrow and maneuverable enough to navigate the celestial city streets, so he stays mounted. After wandering for a bit and finding nothing, he hears a loud commotion from elswhere in the city. The city conducts the sounds of battle very clearly and without the hollow sound of usual echos. Instead the sound remains very acoustic and real as it travels downt he different corridors of the angelic stronghold. The virtue, though meant for heavenly song and communication, left Slade with no doubt as to where and what the sound was.
He sped off toward the battle, diplaying increadible reflexes and skill as he moved between the narrow gaps of ancient structures at high speeds. And the fast reflexes were a good thing.. Just then a blur or whiteness falls from the sky, breaking through the side of a building before plummeting straight toward the path in front of Wessen. Having no time for a comment, and hardly even time for a thought, Wes cuts the power to his drive engines and diverts it to his directional feild projectors. As a result his Tandem turns 180 degrees and as soon as he has done an about-face he puts full power back to his engines for a moment, fighting against the momentem that kept him flying in the opposite direction.. Only with such a move was he able to bring his bike to a complete stop before reaching the place where the blur of light struck the ground. There is a cloud of dust, debris.. and very large, white feathers. Wes now has time for a comment. hhh... oookay. He temporarily parks his Tandem and walks over to investigate the fallen... an Angel. It appears badly wounded, but none of the wounds seem to be from the fall. The Angel looks up at Slade with grave eyes. |

He opens one eye, to see One, Ayn, and Rose looking at each other across a small battle field. With people thinking he is still in an unconcious state, he sees an advantage. HaVoK closes his eyes and focuses him mind.
A bright beam sparks towards Rose...Blinding those who look into it, and destroying those who get in it's way. From the tree where One had laid him...HaVoK is once more glowing with a Golden aura. |

Hayate wanders through the shattered city, pistol drawn. He was not of this world, and the sight of the dead angels was not as shocking as it could be. In fact, he was deriving a little personal amusement from it. He always loathed those who were created immortal, those who knew how to handle eternity.
The tumbling of rock behind him caused him to swing around and take aim at a humble block of masonry that had fallen from its perch. Moments later, the sound of battle and riased voices can be heard clearly throguhout the city. Figuring that the noise of the battle would clearly alert Gale, assuming that this wasn't Gale himself, he takes off in the general direction of the fight |

Rose lands hard on her back, dazed and hurting from One's attack. A curse turns into an agonized scream as the first of the beam touches her. Instinctivly, she rolls away. She spies Havok and curses, eyes tearing from pain. "Why won't you die?"
She jumps onto a different beam, agonized from the angel's attack and not wanting to attack again in such close range. From her lofty posistion, the child begins to throw baseball-sized orbs of energy at the wall behind the group. It begins to groan and fall. |

The Angel coughs up blood and looks at Wes. "Are you....with the Abbis...?"

One, so as to not let the wall fall on the others, flies up and knocks the wall back. He then lands and shoots a ball of energy at the beam that Rose is standing on.

"So you have this map showing where he will be at some time in the future?" "Yes" "You are sure that we are truly heading toward his future location?" "No." "The powders were mixed properly on the map and it has not touched any serpent blood?" "Positively" "Is there any reason to believe that some of our magics could perform differently here" "I have only been given two solid ones." "Do we have any supplies? I am starting to hunger" "Stale bread, very stale bread, and... those bluish berries look edible." "Are you even sure that that is an accurate map?" "It has been so far..." |

Wes, unsure of what to do, offers his hand a humane gesture.
Gale? That's a neg.. Though there is another Abbis in our group, I think you'll find that he and you have the same aim at the moment. The angel takes his hand, clearly for no other reason than to be polite as when the angel arises, it is purely of his own strength. Though it seems to Wes that the being really used very little strength at all for the movement. Gale is here for the key, and we are here to keep him from getting it. The angel raises itself to its full stature, causing it to seem like the angel is towering over Wes, even though it isn't actually much taller than he is. Angel: "A key? Why do you bring your worldly troubles here?" Wes slaps his own face and lays his head in his hand. Okay then, angelic types also seem to want to be coy. Look.. you know what key I'm talking about. I'm not asking you where it is, okay? I know that'd be an uneasy topic for you, especially given what's goin on at this very moment. But I don't give a rats ass where it is as long as it isn't with that warlock! So if there's a way for me to assist you or for you to assist me and my party, then let's do so! Wes doesn't realize that he has been keeping his eyes tightly shut until he opens them again to look up at the angel.... a truly terrifying creature. All the documentation and legend of these creatures speaking of how they were nearly always feared didn't do justice to the feeling that he was experiencing right now. It would seem that mere humans weren't made for speaking with, much less lecturing, celestial beings. The angel reguards Wes for a moment and then seems to almost shrink. The indimidation factor suddenly decreases quite significantly. Angel: "It sounds like it would behoove me to trust you. Do you know that every time one of my people visits your kind it is to bring either a message.. or the sword? It would seem that this is what it's like to be on the other end of that." Wes breathes outward for the first time in what seems like forever. Right.. so about that assistance? If you can, do you mind giving me a rough sketch of what needs to be done here? |

Lara takes aim and fires at Rose and begins to move toward her rapidly. "Annoyance.."
__ The Angel looks again to make sure Gale is not nearby and turns to Wes. "All I can tell you is that an Angel is hiding with the key somewhere. I've been unable to open a telepathic link, and I'm unable to fly now. We must find the Angel with the key and leave immediately. I will help all I can. However, if I find that anyone you're associated with has ill-intentions than I will have no choice but to act." |

Ayn crouches slightly and watches Lara advance. She'd have her turn eventually, although the idea of completely overwhelming the kid amused her to no end.

If I find that anyone I'm with is on friendly terms with Gale, I'll be forced to act my own self. For now though, if that is all you know, then I suggest we aid the others. The way I see it we either have to keep the key hidden or destroy the Abbis.. and helping them confront Gale is probably the best way to do either. If nothing else, perhaps we can keep him distracted long enough to let whoever has the key get far, far away from here. The angel seems angry at what Wessen just said. Angel: "It doesn't matter where he flees.. Gale will still find him. He could catch up with him in a mere moment. You do not understand because you weren't here when he wrought the destruction you see now. This wasn't done in a matter of days, but rather in a matter of minutes. And in the hours after he tortured my kin for information. It would seem that this Abbis has surpassed even Michael in might, if not in greatness.." Wessen nods. Right. Then let's deal with this as best we can. As they approach the fighting deeper within the city, the sound becomes almost LESS real as the true soundwaves meet their ears rather than the echos. As they march toward the action, they are able to watch the goings on in the clearing from down a more chlostrophobic street. At the entrance of the street into the clearing stand a few of Wes's comrads as they watch the battle, unsure of how they should act in this almost personal conflict between Riki, Rikali, One, and this new combative female. Hrmm.. the pretty ones always go bad. Just as Wes says that, one of the men at the entrance to the clearing turns to face them. Wes is fairly certain that it wasn't from hearing him as they are still at some distance. The figure runs toward them, seemingly in a panic. As he draws closer, Wes is surprised to see that is Hallon, looking somewhat less sagely than usual. Surprisingly though, Hallon isn't looking at Wes, but rather at the Angel. Hallon: "Why are you here?" Angel: "I.. should be asking you that very question." Hallon: "Fly away from this place. It is no longer safe here.." Angel: "By your presence here, I shall conlclude that you are not someone I should be taking advice on my duty from." Wes grows steadily more uneasy and grips his gun stock tightly. |

Kyushin smiles mockingly. "You're smarter than you look, Abbis." Content with his next act of meddling, the first Fury steps backwards and fades into the air. The telltale swoosh of metal cutting air descends over Gale from behind.

Rose grins and jumps as the attack connects with the beam. In the air, her form changes to her fully demonic appearance. Wings develop and burst through the holes in the back of her shirt. Her nails lengthen and fangs replace her child's teeth. A steady dark aurura of power emates from her in waves. One's attack hits the beam, and causes the support to explode. The walls creak ominiously. Rose, flying high of Lara's bullets, grins. "Run, fools, run, before the walls come tumbling down!"
Feeling secure in her element, Rose creates an orb and holds it. It begins to grow quickly, and once it reaches the size of a watermelon, she pegs it at the group. ((Sorry for my less-then-steady appearances round here. I'm doing my best, but things aren't like how they used to be. I won't be here tonight (May 5) or Friday (May 7). Otherwise, I'm not sure on my being here. Sorry to be slowing this down!! I have an idea for the battle, so that the thread can pick up speed again...look for an IM, Gale and/or One!)) |

Hayate watches the battle unfold and realises who the demon child is. This is not a good thing. Certainly she is a threat, but she's also being manipulated.
To hell with this. I should do something atleast. He steps out into clear sight of Rose, but he's not holding any weapon and is jsut smiling. Nice place you've chosen here. The whole 'Fall of Innocence' thing really juxtaposes well with the defiled holiness around here. Tell me, where'd we get the suicidal tendencies from, eh? He laughs to himself and gets ready for any non-verbal resonse |

Rose scowls. Four on one was a little tough for an offensive posistion. Better to wait and let them kill each other accidentaly first.
Rose's energy level rises and forms a type of barrier around herself. She smirks at Hayate and the rest of the group. |

Lara holds out her hand and fires a blast of her own at Rose's, detonating it before it reaches the brat. She then jumps into the air and flies after Rose.

As the smoke of the building clears, Nyx comes into view. First his glowing red eyes, then slowly his silhouette, which in turn sharpens until his face is visible. He looks to be easily fifty years old, completely bald with bold graying eyebrows, but seasoned and in shape, with broad shoulders and a stern face. His usual wicked grin was tugging at the side of his face. In his right hand he grips a katana of unknown origin, which he adjusts his hold on anxiously. But most of all, his eyes glow a bright red, much like his first appearance... And every battle thereafter. The second Fury was truly insane, perhaps enough to rival Gale. "You don't seem happy to see me, Gale." Slowly his brings the sword out in front of him and grips it with both hands.

"I'm rarely happy at all, but if it makes you feel better you've managed to worsen my mood. I'm sure you're quite proud over it." Gale glances around the ruins of Capital and squints slightly. He sensed Rose and the others who were after them. She should be able to hold them off long enough. However, the time spent fighting Nyx was suppose to be used finding a certain Angel. He'd have no more time for games now. Gale draws Sin, its blade 'glazed' red from the power of the Hell Key. "Let's see if third time's the charm for killing you."

Rose scowls and dodges to the left-barely. As it is, she hits another beam and sends it crashing to the floor. She unleashes a volley of curses and holds her arm, which is bleeding and limp from the connection with the metal beam. "Damn you,"

Lara holds out her hand which swirls with dark energy. "Save it." Lara fires a blast of energy at Rose.

Rose's energy shield weakens the attack, but obviously not as much as she had expected. The beam crashes into her stomach. Uttering a truly pain-filled scream, she crashes through a wall behind her, knocking it over and ontop of her.
A couple moments pass in silence, broken only by the group's breathing. The rock wall shivers and explodes outwards as Rose, bleeding in a dozen places and looking weak, hovers up and screams. Her voice is energy, and erupts out in all directions in the form of sonic energy. The scream falters half-way through. |

By now Ayn felt ready to intervene, and she raises a hand, the palm crackling with white energy. There is a short pause, then the blast grows rapidly in size and strength.
The air swelters around the blast as it hurls itself directly at Rose. |

The scream is met by a hail of bullets that strike like a brick wall.
At some point during the battle, Fury had decided. Rose was an enemy now. There was no time for any of this. He didn't care anymore. He leans remorselessly on the trigger of his rifle until the weapon runs dry. *** In a blur, Nyx charges straight up to Gale, sword held at his side. With a wide arc of his arm, he slashes the blade up and to the left towards Gale's torso. |

Rose tenses herself and releases a blast of her own. The two blasts meet head on. Rose's is completely consumed. Rose realizes that she really is no match for Ayn a spilt second before she soars up into the air, missing the deadly blast by mere centimeters. Her sigh of relief turns into a scream of pain, however, as horrible claws dig into her back and lightning shakes her being.
Having heard the sonic scream, Rikali had taken to the air and had seen the demon-girl battling her friends. Feeling a rage build inside her, she had waited for the oppurtune moment to attack this demon from behind. Roselenna crashes to the ground. Moaning, she whispers her master's name and disappears in a dark mist. Rikali lands on where she was seconds later, viciously tearing at the ground. Rose reappears at Gale's side. "I have returned, Master." Her body is wracked with pain. It is edvident in the blood staining her clothes and skin, in her voice and the fact she can't climb to her feet but remains on her knees. |

Gale counters with Sin, attempting to block as well as knock Nyx back in one blow. A dark purple aura intensifies around Gale, a deadly serious look on his face. "What chance do you think you could pausibly have against me?!" He looks at Rose, his expression less than pleased. "And what the hell are you doing here? You're suppose to be bloody disracting them!"

With a thunderous clash, Nyx crosses blades with Gale and pushes himself away so he can take another swing, this time sideways from the left at Gale's unchecked side. |

Gale tries to move but is cut across the side. He winces and charges Nyx with a flurry of slashes and stabs. "I don't have time for this, if that Angel escapes..."

Ayn cracks a smile at Lara. "Well, first we'll take a quick rest and have a laugh at Gale and his silly little lackey." She does so. "Then.. Well, I guess there's only one thing left to do now."

On a relatively unscathed rooftop out of sight of the battle, Kyushin sits perched once more, scanning the ruined city. It was a shame he'd had to expend Nyx so soon, but he was disposable for a reason. You can't exactly complain when you have a card in your hand with someone's soul on it. Now where did that damn Key get to?
*** This sudden offensive nearly throws Nyx, and he struggles to block the storm of strikes while backpedaling away. One slash makes it past his frantic defense and draws a gash across his upper arm. In retaliation, he dives back at Gale and launches a stab at the Abbis' stomach with the full force of his weight following through. |

Gale franticly moves to the side and the blade stabs through the side of his stomach. He snarls in pain, but the wound was not fatal. He smiled sadistically and charges forward with Sin, Nyx's sword still impalling him.
